Project Overview
This project involved the comprehensive repair and restoration of a damaged Specialized Enduro mountain bike following a crash. The work encompassed frame replacement, full bearing system overhaul, and systematic reassembly with proper torque specifications and protective treatments.
Issue
The carbon frame was damaged in a crash, resulting in cracks that necessitated a full replacement. Concurrently, the linkage bearings, headset bearings, and bottom bracket bearings exhibited significant wear and required replacement to restore optimal functionality.
Solution & Repair Process
Replacement components were procured, and a full system overhaul was performed. The repair process included:
- Disassembly of the entire bike frame and linkage system
- Inspection and assessment of all bearing components
- Removal of damaged carbon frame
- Installation of replacement carbon frame
- Replacement of linkage bearings with OEM Specialized components
- Replacement of headset bearings for smooth steering

Result
Complete restoration of the Specialized Enduro to factory condition and performance standards. After the overhaul, the bike was fully restored with all bearings operating smoothly and the frame and linkage securely assembled.
